Transport Me

Lord lift me and transport me
far across the sea
to a little island far away
that's waiting just for me.

Where peace and quiet and freedom
will lap the shores each day
and no one will even notice
that I have gone away.

I can live alone forever
I don't need people any more
for I've had enough of nurses
looking at me through my door.

Watching me each moment
assessing me each day.
I need some space to free my mind
that's why I cannot stay.

I've lost my home and family
my pride's been taken too
I have no one left to care for me
so Lord I'll lean, I'll lean on you.

Please take me to that heaven on earth
now in my mind I see.
That isle where peace and love will reign
and I'll be forever free.
