Meow
How I love the temperament of the domestic cat
Lazing in the sun and getting fat
The common moggy in regal attire
Cozy nights purring by the fire.
Around the world they′re renowned
Meow, meow what a heavenly sound
Egyptian magic and witchcrafts lore
Persecuted and friends in war.
They have the elegance of the all seeing eye
Into the night you can hear their cries
Kitty litter a humble abode
They strut the catwalk with their own little code.
This is to the cat as it unravels the wool
Eating the fish until it is full
Lapping the cream, the cats whiskers
Painting the roof tiles, meow little sisters.
