Editors Letter

Welcome Readers! Firstly I have to say a massive thank you to our Stella, an Occupational Therapy Student who has been on placement at Caswell Clinic for the last 3 months. Stella has been a guest curator of this edition and has provided us with lots of new ideas. Stella has included lots of patient contributions in this edition and all patient comments are in italics throughout the issue. Stella has also written this edition using Arial font as it is an easy read font and good for people who have dyslexia.
During Occupational Therapy week we held an event where we used the theme of a tree to demonstrate the different activities we have at Caswell Clinic. Stella created a therapy tree and we used different coloured leaves to represent the types of activity we run. Patients wrote on the leaves about what they enjoy doing at Caswell Clinic.  Pictures of the event are on pages 6-9.
We have introduced some new activities in the last few months with Spanish lessons starting and some new craft projects including a group mosaic. These have been showcased later on in the issue.
We also have had the results of a poetry competition which is on pages 44-45. People voted for their favourite poem ever written at Caswell Clinic, with lots of brilliant entries to choose from.
We have said fond farewells to a few members of staff in the last few months and welcomed lots of new staff. We have said goodbye to Nadine, activity co-ordinator, and Chloe and Karen, both occupational therapists at Caswell. We will miss them!
Thank you to David who has again provided us with a front cover design that he created in Art sessions using picture editing software.
We hope you enjoy the issue!
