Patient Shop    Shoppin

It has been 20 months since the current patient shop has been open. During this period a number of patients have utilised their voluntary role as 'shop assistant.'

Feedback from fellow patients, purchasing from the shop, has been that the 'shop assistants' have been pleasant, polite and welcoming.

All Volunteers are expected to present themselves fit for their job e.g. good personal hygiene, clean and presentable.
They are also expected to demonstrate good customer care skills: Polite, Honest, Helpful and welcoming.

The Duties involved are to serve customers who purchase items from the shop, Effectively use the till, Handle money e.g. receiving money and giving correct change, Complete the days takings count , float count and complete necessary form and keep the area clean and tidy.

The expectations for volunteers to help purchase stock are to present themselves fit for their job e.g. good personal hygiene, clean and presentable; they are expected to demonstrate good social skills when engaging with the public and sales assistants. Volunteers are also expected to be polite and appropriate with the Activity Coordinator staff member supporting the role. All volunteers' performance will be reviewed and fed back to the supervisors of the shop and the patient's clinical team.
