The main thing in the autumn is getting ready for winter. That includes cutting the grass, digging all the loose ground up, digging all the edges, weeding around, cutting back summer plants, lifting tubers, lifting plants you want to keep in the greenhouse out of the frost, cleaning up and making repairs to anything such as the greenhouse. At this time we clean out the old pots, re compost the pots ready for the spring to give the frost a chance to sterilise the soil.
