2014 saw a big refit to the gym at Caswell Clinic. All the wards were given a questionnaire so we could see what would best suit the needs of everyone. This was very helpful and as a result the old well-used multigym was replaced by some new and more up to date equipment which included a Smiths Machine and a Compact Functional Training Centre.
We also changed all the cardiovascular equipment for more robust user-friendly kit which included a treadmill, recumbent bike, cross trainer and as requested by most people, a rowing machine.
The gym and store room were also equipped with some heavy duty rubber matting to stop the floor getting damaged and also there have been new and more up to date posters added to both rooms, we also purchased new storage racks so new weights and kettlebells can be stored safely when not in use.
The sports hall also received a bit of attention with the table tennis table getting new nets and an extra table being given to us. A full size tennis net was erected which can be used inside or outside on our newly marked out Astroturf.
All in all we now have a very well equipped sports hall and gym which should meet everyone's needs.
