Welsh for Adults
The "spoken " welsh class is held every Thursday morning from 9.30am till 11.30 am. The class has been running for about two years now and is now attended by 9 members of the public as well as myself, Nick and Louise. As well as being scholarly and intellectual the classes are good fun with plenty of learning activities, games and role play. I think it's fair to say that I and other class members have gained enormously from the class. The class is held in Aberkenfig library.
St Fagans
The Welsh learners group had their group trip to St Fagan's recently. Four students attended, along with the tutor and another fluent Welsh speaker. The weather was baking hot and the site was very busy with plenty of other visitors. There were refreshment booths and cafes so visitors were well catered for. The aim of the trip for the welsh class was to speak only Welsh during the trip which was accomplished almost completely! We visited the mill, shop, bakery, stables, chapel, turn of the century farmhouses and many other attractions. We spoke to the guides in Welsh as much as possible.
