Trips with activity co-ordinators

Within the clinic we have a team of activity co-ordinators who organise trips on weekends and at other times. Due to the response for these weekend trips for patients at the clinic, a selection policy as been introduced so that everyone has a fair chance of selection. This procedure has also been introduced on Ogmore ward for Sunday afternoon trips. Generally four or five patient go at a time, with one of the vans being accommodated . Locations of the trips that are on Friday's are Port Talbot , Maesteg or LLantrisant, then on Saturdays theirs a general ramble of the surrounding areas.

Sunday Porthcawl is the main location, but sometimes Cardiff Bay, Splott market and Aberavon front has been an option. A film night has been introduced this year with a couple of patients being given the chance to see a recently released film. All in all we have a good team providing good choices for outside excursions.
