Weight Loss Howard′s Way
A blend of exercise and a healthy eating plan is a good start to losing a few unwanted pounds.
If possible try to get to the gym every other day and make sure that you use the cardiovascular machines. The treadmill, cross trainer and the static bikes are all great ways to keep fit and lose those pounds.
If you′re not interested in the gym and go for a walk around the garden or grounds – 20 to 40 minutes is all it takes to get that heart pumping.
Some patients have told me that boredom is the reason why they eat too much. If possible try to snack eating fruit. Apples, bananas and oranges are good snack foods in between meals.
It is said that we all should be eating at least 5 pieces of fruit and veg a day. Try and stick to eating moderate size meals and not to pile on those extra potatoes and if you are feeling full just say no to the dessert.
One of the biggest problems I have seen is the amount of take-aways that are eaten in the Clinic. Eating big meals after tea is where the pounds are piled on. All those calories and then not long before going to bed. You′re not giving yourself a chance to burn those calories off. Try not to eat unhealthy food after 6 o′clock - stick to your fruit.
It takes a little motivation and will power but you can lose weight if you′re prepared to give it a try.
